Shelby County takes seriously its obligation to its veterans. Mentors (former military veterans) work with veterans who have been charged; veterans will also be directed into the VA services from this court. This court can also help veterans access mental health services if needed, and has case managers available to assist.

Alpha Omega Veterans Services

Alpha Omega Veterans Services provides transitional and permanent supportive housing for unhoused male and female veterans with dual diagnosis. Veterans who complete a 90-day program may stay for up to 18 months at the 10 halfway house locations (only one location accepts females). Ninety-day program includes shelter, counseling, clothing and meals.
