Lighthouse Mission (Safe Harbor)

Lighthouse mission (Safe Harbor) of Memphis is a program which includes emergency shelter and transitional housing for single men, substance abuse therapy, employment preparation, job training, life skills development and a back to work program. They also provide court-related services for justice impacted individuals enrolled in the program.

The program is faith-based and church services are available to those who wish to attend.

Client participation lasts for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year.

Hope Works

HopeWorks’ mission is to guide Memphians in need of a second chance through essential education, counseling and career development programming to establish a relationship with God while building stability, confidence and a hope-filled future.

Programs Include:
*Adult Education – Finish your official education and reframe the way you think about learning.
*HiSET — If you want to earn your high school equivalency diploma.
*Personal and Career Development – Whether you need work, are unhappy with your current job or want to make more money to provide for your family – through this program, students learn how to change their job mindset toward a career path, grow the skills that make them a good employee and learn how to progress professionally.
*English Language Programs – Through HopeWorks’s state-approved AESL program, immigrants, refugees and non-native English speakers learn how to speak English
*Holistic Reentry – HopeWorks’ prison ministry offers many of our same programs and classes inside the walls of the Shelby County Division of Corrections.
