South Central Human Resource Agency’s mission is to provide low income individuals and communities access to educational, economic, nutritional, and social services that promote and encourage self-reliance through our partnerships with local, state and federal resources.
Programs Include:
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)–to provide financial assistance to elderly, handicapped, and low-income persons to help offset a portion of the cost of energy used to heat their homes.

United Housing provides affordable housing, homebuyer education, counseling and low interest rate loan products. UHI targets its services to families that are low-to-moderate income and first time home buyers. UHI also focuses its affordable housing production in low-to-moderate income areas, predominantly inner-city Memphis.
