Safe Haven Family Shelter

Safe Haven is the only shelter-to-housing program of its kind in Middle Tennessee that accepts the entire homeless family. We keep the family together and provide comprehensive services that empower them to achieve lasting self-sufficiency. Safe Haven helps families experiencing homelessness by providing for their immediate needs of shelter and stability. We operate through effective and results-driven programs, integrating services that are evidence-based. Our housing first model, coupled with wrap around services is designed to give families the necessary tools to achieve lasting self-sufficiency, stable employment and secured housing. All of our housing programs begin in shelter. We have 10 spaces for families with children in our Shelter. Following a housing first model, we begin a housing plan when families enter shelter. Though multiple community grants, we are able to assist approximately 30 families at a time with housing in the community.

Urban Housing Solutions

Since 1991 Urban Housing Solutions has been developing and managing affordable housing for Nashville’s homeless, low income, and workforce populations. By both constructing new buildings and transforming aging properties, we are changing the “face of affordable housing” and revitalizing depreciated neighborhoods. In partnership with government agencies and nonprofits, we go beyond housing to offer a continuum of care that includes transportation access, medical and mental health support, substance abuse recovery, and civic services.
