Workforce Essentials is a private, non-profit corporation specializing in unique business solutions for employers, innovative training opportunities for individuals, and driver education programs.

The main office is located in Clarksville, TN, but they serve the entire state with over 200 skilled employees, in over 40 counties in Middle and West Tennessee. They have also expanded several of our workforce services to include online education and training for employers and employees.

Quality of Life Learning Centers at the Salvation Army

The Quality Of Life Learning Center’s Mission Is To Impact Long Term Economic Self-Sufficiency For Individuals And Families Who Are Experiencing Unemployment Or Homelessness.
The program is designed to support participants through supportive case management. In partnership with a case manager, participants develop a personalized Action Plan with a focus on overcoming the barriers that lead to crisis and poverty. The participants set goals in employment, career/education development, financial stability, housing stability and health care.

Day Reporting/Community Resource Centers

As part of the Public Safety Act of 2016, the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) implemented Day Reporting/Community Resource Centers which serve as alternatives to incarceration by placing eligible participants in structured and intensive outpatient programs.

In order to be eligible for the program, the participant must be under the supervision of TDOC’s Community Supervision, have at least 2 years left on probation supervision, and/or have substance use concern.

Career Connect

Career Connect is a set of free evidence-based, employment-focused services and wraparound supports designed specifically for young adults, ages 18 to 24, who have had any form of involvement with the criminal justice system. Utilizing a Career Pathways approach, participants will learn new work skills, obtain certifications or degrees and develop opportunities for lifelong careers.

*Job readiness skills development and training
*Individualized career planning
*Rapid job search and placement
*Linkage to appropriate certification or degree programs
*Case management
*Peer support and mentoring

Goals for Participants:
*Steady employment and a long-term career track
*Maintain a permanent residence and financial stability
*Access any needed physical, mental or behavioral health services
*Be a productive member of the workforce and community
*Referral to social supports – linking you to any other resources or services you may need such as housing, employment, legal, peer support, etc.

Eligibility:
*Young adults, ages 18 to 24, who have had any form of involvement with the criminal justice system, and currently live in Nashville, TN.
