Tennessee Department of Labor Apprenticeship Registry

An apprenticeship is a training model used recruit quality employees to a company or industry and expand the talent pool. Apprenticeships offer supervised on-the-job training and job-related education, while paying the apprentice wages, like a job.

According to the Department of Labor, “With an apprenticeship, you have the opportunity to gain the skills and technical knowledge needed to become an expert in your chosen field. The nationally recognized credential you earn will lead to higher salaries and greater job opportunities for the rest of your career. And the best part, you get an education without any student debt.”

In Tennessee, apprenticeships must register with the Department of Labor, and job seekers can use the state’s comprehensive apprenticeship registry to find paid full-time training opportunities. visit: www.tn.gov/apprenticeshiptn
