On the last day of Second Chance Month, we reflect on the force known as hope. We are reflecting on hope's ability to transform and to be transferred. Monday, April 28th, there was a transference of hope at THEI's 3rd Annual Path Forward Luncheon. We gathered in community to hear from individuals whose lives have been positively impacted by the presence of the liberative power of education behind the prison walls, individualized reentry support, and advocacy. Thanks to the support of our sponsors and our larger community, we raised over $176,000.

A special thank you to Belmont University for being the most incredible Higher Education in Prison university partner and host. It was an honor to have President L Gregory Jones share opening remarks. Other sponsors included, The Schooner Foundation, Wellpoint, Doochin Family Trust, Misha Maynard, Pinnacle Financial Partners, CoreCivic, HCA Healthcare, Urban League of Middle Tennessee, Ascendium Education Group, ONE Community presented by the Titans Foundation, Sharon Dixon Gentry, and Dr. Marcia Millet. Also, a special thanks to Craftwork Government Affairs for hosting a table.

It's not too late to contribute! Every donation up to $50,000 will be matched thanks to a generous gift from the Schooner Foundation.
