Honoring Spring Graduates as THEI Welcomes the Fall Semester

As THEI welcomes the start of a new fall semester, we can't help but reflect on the incredible achievements of our students from this past spring. THEI celebrated one of its most significant milestones yet, with 20 graduates from three different sites—Debra K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center, Turney Center Industrial Complex, and Women’s Therapeutic Residential Center—earning degrees from Nashville State Community College and Dyersburg State Community College. This accomplishment marks the largest number of graduates we've ever had in a single semester, a testament to the hard work and determination of our students.

These graduation ceremonies were more than just events. They were powerful celebrations of education as a tool for liberation. Each graduate's journey is a reminder of the transformative power of knowledge, perseverance, and community support. Their success fuels our commitment to continue providing high-quality education and support to our current students as they embark on their own academic journeys this semester.

Our Educational Programs team is also excited to begin planning three more graduation ceremonies at the end of this fall semester for our students earning degrees from NSCC, DSCC, and Lane College. We are immensely proud of our graduates and the example they set for their peers. Their achievements inspire us to keep pushing forward, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to experience the same sense of accomplishment and empowerment that comes with earning a degree.

We invite you to join us in supporting our students this semester. You can help by purchasing school supplies from our Amazon Wishlist or donating directly through the link below. Every contribution helps us continue this vital work.
